A wager that the Banker hand will score closer to nine than the Player hand. Banker bets carry a small commission — typically five percent of winnings — because the Banker position wins slightly more often than Player by mathematical design. The commission percentage is shown on the table felt.

Player Pair is a side bet that wins when the first two cards dealt to the Player hand form a matching pair — same rank. It pays at a fixed ratio shown on the table, independent of whether the Player or Banker wins the main hand. You place it before cards are dealt.

The Squeeze is the card-reveal ritual unique to Grand-format rooms. The dealer slowly bends back the corner of a face-down card, revealing pip and suit gradually rather than flipping it instantly. It adds theatrical tension to each hand and is the defining feature that separates Baccarat Grand from standard Baccarat.

A Natural occurs when the first two cards dealt to either the Player or Banker hand total eight or nine. A Natural hand ends the round immediately — no third card is drawn. A Natural nine beats a Natural eight, and both outcomes are resolved before any draw rules apply.

Big Road is the most widely used Baccarat road map. It records the outcome of each hand — Banker win, Player win or Tie — in columns that shift right whenever the winning side changes. It helps you see how long a current streak has lasted and when the last switch occurred.

A Tie bet wins when the Player and Banker hands finish with equal totals. The payout ratio varies by studio room — commonly shown as eight to one — and is always displayed on the table felt before you place a chip. The Tie carries a higher house edge than Banker or Player bets.

Perfect Pair is a side bet that wins when the first two cards dealt to either hand are a matching pair of identical rank and identical suit — for example, two of the same playing card. It pays at a higher ratio than a standard pair bet because the probability of an exact match is lower.

The Banker bet in standard eight-deck Baccarat Grand carries a house edge of approximately one point zero six percent after the five percent commission is applied. This figure is a mathematical constant across all properly run Baccarat Grand rooms. We do not publish alternative figures; the table rules confirm the commission rate.

Bead Road records every round result in sequence from top-left to bottom-right across a fixed grid. Banker wins, Player wins and Ties are shown as different coloured symbols. It is the most compact road map and gives a quick visual of recent outcomes without pattern interpretation, useful for fast-paced Speed Baccarat Grand rounds.

RTP — Return to Player — is the long-run percentage of total wagers a bet type theoretically returns. For Baccarat Grand side bets like Player Pair or Perfect Pair, the RTP is shown only where the studio makes it available in the table information panel.
